Tatiana Bull Blog 10

I have touched on this a little bit in my last blog but I would just like to reiterate how much I like this class.  Here, I feel like everyone has a voice and no one ever has to feel ashamed or embarrassed to say what is on their mind - we have built a type of community that I have never had in any of my other classes before.  Because of this class, I can actually say "Hi" to other people in it without a problem, where as normally I am kind of hesitant to do so with people from other classes because I would tink something along the lines of "Oh he/she probably doesn't remember me, so I wont say hello."
I think I have changed a lot throughout my journey in 332.  I am definitely more opened minded and aware of different issues in the world that I did not know existed.  Through this class I have learned that  my preferred learning style is visual followed by class discussion - having class discussion after elections or movies really helps put everything into place and it helps me remember and understand concepts much better.  People might even point out concepts that I have never though about before which really challenges me to think outside of the box and I love it. This course has helped me to know myself better. It has taught me skills I will take with me to my future courses.
I really enjoy the over all teaching strategy of 332, it allows the class to learn how we feel would be most beneficial.  Some teachers have a set plan on what is going to happen and they already have topics for class discussions. However, in this class we can talk about pretty much anything that stood out to us.  Although, I am more of a visual learner - I liked how you incorporated lessons that helped those who learn better by listening as well.
It is sad that the semester is coming to a close, but I will never forget the wonderful friends I have met throughout this course.
